About The Battle Creek Symphony

The Battle Creek Symphony is a subsidiary of The Music Center. Mileage: Mileage is reimbursed at $.35 per mile per trip up to $120 for roundtrips less than 800 miles, or $225 for roundtrips greater than 800 miles, or $225 for airfare reimbursement for distances over 1,000 miles. Up to one roundtrip per day is reimbursed. Only one roundtrip will be reimbursed for Musicians utilizing homestays. The maximum mileage reimbursed per concert cycle is $225. Mileage shall be computed by using www.maps.google.com with the starting address being the Musician’s address as printed on their contract and the ending address being W.K. Kellogg Auditorium, 60 West Van Buren Avenue, Battle Creek, Michigan 49017. Changes in address should be brought to the attention of the Operations Manager by the start of the first rehearsal of the concert cycle requiring a change.
• 0-799 miles = $0.35 per mile up to $120 per roundtrip
• 800+ miles = $0.35 per mile up to $225 per roundtrip
• Total cap = $225

Lodging: Every effort will be made to provide home stays for Musicians when requested 21 days in advance the scheduled performance. Housing cannot be guaranteed outside this time frame, with the exception of last-minute substitutes.
Lodging will be provided for Musicians traveling 60 miles or more to the performance.
