The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra currently has a vacancy for:
1st Flute with obligation to play piccolo and to play on a lower chair
Employment: 100% (full-time)
Intended start date: To be decided
Audition Dates
The preliminary audition will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Heuvellaan Hilversum, Studio 5, Hilversum, The Netherlands.
The final audition will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same venue.
The preliminary audition will be conducted behind a screen. Following the preliminary round, it will be determined who will advance to the final audition.
Audition Repertoire
- W.A. Mozart – Flute Concerto in G major, 1st and 2nd movements
- S. Prokofiev – Flute Sonata in D, 1st movement
- A. Vivaldi – Piccolo Concerto in C, 2nd movement
- Orchestral excerpts
Application Information
Applications will be accepted until February 8, 2026.
The orchestra reserves the right to make a preliminary selection based on application letters. If there is a large number of registrations, video submissions may be requested.
Work Authorization
Stichting Omroep Muziek follows the Employment and Aliens law in recruitment. In accordance with European regulations, inhabitants of countries outside the European Union and the EEA, or those with nationality outside the EU/EEA but residing in The Netherlands, may only work for the orchestra when they possess an unrestricted Dutch work and residence permit.
