About the Orchestra
Founded in 1968 as the second professional concert symphony orchestra in Slovakia, the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice quickly achieved recognition from experts and the public, becoming one of the leading representatives of Slovak performing arts at home and abroad.
The orchestra has performed at major international music festivals and in important cultural centres including Vienna, Salzburg, Berlin, Budapest, and New York.
