Overview
The Orchestre de Paris under Musical Director Klaus Makela announces the 2026/27 Academy for Alto/Viola.
This program is aimed at young top-level instrumentalists completing their final studies who are looking to acquire in-depth orchestral experience and perfect their orchestral technique via a side-by-side Academy at the Philharmonie de Paris.
Summer Academy
- Dates: September 1-6, 2026
- Musical Direction: Klaus Makela (Musical Director) and Olha Dondyk (Laureate Maestra 2024)
- Repertoire: Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3, Honegger Symphony No. 3
- Recruiting: 5 altos
- Accommodation and meals provided, with possibility to apply for travel aid
Studio Academy
- Dates: January to June 2027
- 5 string laureates will participate in the Orchestre de Paris concert season at the Philharmonie and on tour
- Recruiting: 1 Alto
- Monthly allowance provided
Auditions
- Location: Philharmonie de Paris
- Timing: First week of April 2026
- Possibility to apply for travel and accommodation aid
