2nd Flute (with obligation of 1st Flute and Piccolo), 0.75 FTE – Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc
A 0.75 FTE position covering parental leave.
Requirements
- Secondary or university education in music, playing the relevant instrument. In the case of exceptional talent, an outstanding artistic personality, or a widely recognised expert in the field, the qualification requirements may be waived.
- Flexibility, reliability, independence and precision.

How to Apply
Applications should include your full name and contact details (e-mail, phone number), a structured CV, and information about whether you require an accompanist. Send them either in printed form by post to the MFO office (Horní náměstí 424/23, 779 00 Olomouc, Czech Republic) or electronically as PDF documents to [email protected], no later than 5 October 2026.
Please write “Audition – 2nd flute with the obligation of 1st flute and piccolo” on the envelope or in the e-mail subject line.
The application must also include a statement of consent to the Moravian Theatre and Moravian Philharmonic processing the applicant’s personal data for the purpose of administering this audition and keeping records of job applicants. Without this consent an applicant cannot take part, and the documents sent will be rejected and returned.
Audition
Selected candidates will be invited to the audition, which takes place on 12 October 2026 at 10:00 in the Reduta concert hall of the Moravian Philharmonic (Horní náměstí 424/23, Olomouc). The exact schedule will be confirmed five days after the application deadline.
The audition consists of two rounds. Candidates should prepare:
- A solo performance with piano accompaniment: W. A. Mozart – Flute Concerto No. 1 in G major, K. 313, 1st and 2nd movements with cadenzas
- Selected sections of orchestral parts (available for download on the orchestra’s website)
