Co-Principal Flute (Piccolo/2nd Flute) – Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra
The Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Co-Principal Flute with primary responsibility for Piccolo and duties on Second Flute. This is a permanent position with a 1-year trial period. Employment will commence after personal agreement.
Non-EU citizens require a work and residence permit (not required at the application stage).
Service
The position entails roughly 160–180 podium days per season, including personal artistic preparation time. Duties primarily involve Second Flute with Piccolo responsibility, though First Flute duties may be required as needed.
The work includes symphonic, opera, and chamber music repertoire, with a typical season of 13–15 orchestra productions and 2–3 opera productions.

Audition Date: June 11, 2026 (by invitation only; June 12 reserved)
Venue: Norrlandsoperan Concert Hall, Operaplan 5, 901 08 Umeå
Repertoire and orchestral excerpts will be announced via the orchestra’s channels. Norrlandsoperan reserves the right to use trial weeks at a later stage.
