About Theatre Vanemuine
Established in 1870, Vanemuine is the first professional theatre in Estonia and one of the very few three-genre theatres in Europe. Now in its 156th season, the theatre continues to present a diverse repertoire encompassing ballets, dramas, operas, operettas, and musicals. Vanemuine regularly collaborates with internationally renowned directors, and as a chorus member, there is also the opportunity to audition for smaller solo roles.
Upcoming Season
In the upcoming season, the Vanemuine Opera Chorus will be involved in the ballet A Little Prayer – Arvo Pärt 90, as well as the operas La Traviata by Verdi, Turandot and La Bohème by Puccini, and King Arthur by Purcell. The season also features the operetta Silva by Kálmán and the musical Kinky Boots.
Additionally, the chorus works closely with the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra to perform symphonic choral works.
