Östgötamusiken is seeking a double bass player eager to contribute to the growth of both the music and the audience experience across the region. This is a full-time, permanent position.
About the Role
The position encompasses rehearsals, preparations, and performances with Östgötabandet and Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker – Nordic Wind Ensemble. Östgötabandet is the organisation’s jazz ensemble, featuring four wind players, piano, bass, and drums. The role also includes playing electric bass.
A significant portion of the work involves performing for children, young people, and older audiences, requiring the ability to communicate in an engaging and accessible manner with diverse groups. Accordingly, basic to intermediate proficiency in Swedish is required upon employment.
Audition
Auditions will take place by invitation on 16 September 2026 at Östgötamusiken’s facilities.
