The Vratsa Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Percussion Tutti. The ensemble comprises more than 80 performers, with approximately half of its members being international artists. The orchestra operates as an open association dedicated to the highest standards of music-making.
About the Role
The orchestra is looking for a highly skilled and motivated musician to join the percussion section on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent technical ability and a rich, versatile sound
- Strong ensemble and solo performance skills
- A deep commitment to musical excellence
Requirements
- Advanced studies in music (Bachelor or Master from a conservatory)
- Sight-reading and ensemble performance skills
- The ability to adapt to diverse styles and repertoire (classical, romantic, contemporary)
Proven orchestral experience or an equivalent professional performance background will be considered, though it is not mandatory.
Audition Format
The audition will be conducted in three rounds:
- 1st Round — Video Submission: Selected excerpts (see attached document for repertoire)
- 2nd Round — Online Interview
- Final Round — Trial Period
Only successful candidates will advance to each subsequent round; all applicants will be notified of results.
