Jönköpings Sinfonietta invites applications for the permanent position of Principal Flute. The role offers the opportunity to perform a varied repertoire spanning symphonic music, stage productions, and chamber music alongside internationally recognised conductors and soloists at Kulturhuset Spira.
About the Position
A full-time, permanent contract is offered, with a one-year trial period before confirmation of appointment.
About Jönköpings Sinfonietta
Jönköpings Sinfonietta is a vibrant 31-musician ensemble and an integral part of Kulturhuset Spira — a dynamic performing arts center presenting symphonic music, opera, musical theatre, spoken theatre, dance, chamber music, and youth programming. The orchestra collaborates with internationally acclaimed conductors, soloists, directors, and choreographers. Since 2023, Johannes Gustavsson serves as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director. Performances take place primarily in Kulturhuset Spira’s concert hall, renowned for its exceptional acoustics, with regular tours across the Jönköping Region.

Audition Repertoire
- Round 1: Mozart: Flute Concerto K. 313 (G major) or K. 314 (D major), 1st movement (without cadenza)
- Round 2: Schubert: Introduction and Variations on Trockne Blumen — Introduction, Theme, and Variations 1, 3, and 5
- Round 3: Taffanel: Wind Quintet, 1st movement
