The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is holding an audition for a tenure-track Clarinet position to begin with the 2026-2027 season.
Compensation
- 2026-27 Salary: $36,703.80
- Electronic Media Guarantee: $475.00
- Optional Community Engagement: $1,468.08
- Total Compensation: $38,646.88
The orchestra performs a 42-week season that includes classical, pops, family, ballet, and opera repertoire. Positions also receive a 7.194% AFM pension.
Application Instructions
To be considered, qualified applicants must submit a one-page resume and a $100.00 deposit check by February 26, 2026. The deposit is refundable if you cancel by March 9, 2026.
Non-citizens must have US work authorization for employment.
