Section Cello
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra seeks applications from musicians of outstanding ability for the position of Section Cello.
Audition Dates
Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July 2026
Repertoire Requirements
- Two contrasting movements from the Haydn Cello Concerto in C, OR the Haydn Cello Concerto in D, with piano accompaniment
- First movement from a standard Romantic/20th Century cello concerto, with piano accompaniment
- Orchestral excerpts

Additional Information
The MSO offers an attractive salary package. This position is open to citizens of Australia or New Zealand, permanent residents of Australia, or those with the legal right to work in Australia.
