Tutti Violin – Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra
Salary range AUD $76,854 – $84,088. This position is open only to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Australia, or New Zealand Citizens. If applicants are unable to travel to Hobart, the TSO will accept recorded auditions.
Key Dates
- Applications open: Monday 16 March 2026
- Excerpts released for live auditions: Tuesday 28 April 2026, or four weeks prior to a confirmed recording date
- Applications close: Tuesday 12 May 2026, 4pm
- Final deadline for recorded submissions: Two days following a confirmed recording date, but no later than Tuesday 19 May 2026
- Audition date: Tuesday 26 May 2026
Audition Requirements
All set works to be performed with piano accompaniment:
- Mozart: Violin Concerto 3, 4 or 5 – 1st Movement only, plus cadenza (with piano accompaniment)
- First movement from a standard 19th or 20th century Violin Concerto with cadenza (with piano accompaniment)
- All orchestral excerpts
