SALARY & BENEFITS:
$75,000-83,000 starting salary
30 days paid vacation annually

Permanent assignment at Fort Meade, MD, in the Washington, DC area

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform in the Soldiers’ Chorus of the United States Army Field Band
Tour approximately 100 days per year in the U.S. and abroad
Perform in various small chamber ensembles
Contribute to innovative performances for broadcast audiences, live events, and educational outreach
Learn and refine new skills as desired in multimedia production, marketing, music education, and more

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional performance level
Proficiency in various musical styles and sight-reading
Bachelor of Music degree or higher preferred
Ability to meet Army height/weight standards
Civilian applicants must be 17-34 years of age or up to 42 with a waiver
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

About United States Army Field Band

THE UNITED STATES ARMY FIELD BAND is the Department of the Army’s premier touring musical representative. Its mission is to develop positive connections on behalf of the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and the United States through live music and multimedia performances, media, television productions, and emergent technologies. The Field Band has appeared in all fifty states and in more than thirty countries on four continents. The organization’s five performing components, the Concert Band, Soldiers’ Chorus, Jazz Ambassadors, Commercial Music Group, and Six String Soldiers, each travel more than 100 days annually. Tours include formal public concerts, school assemblies, educational outreach programs, festivals, and radio and television appearances.
