Philharmonia Instrumental Fellowship Programme 2026
Applications are now open for violinists to join the Philharmonia Instrumental Fellowship Programme 2026. This one-year programme offers an extensive range of training and opportunities for young musicians aspiring to become professional orchestral players.
About the Programme
The Fellowship provides a comprehensive experience, including:
- Coaching and Mentoring: Work directly with a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra.
- Recital Opportunities: Perform in professional arts venues across the UK.
- Professional Development: Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops.
- Paid Work: Take part in paid Learning & Engagement projects and potentially join the Orchestra for paid performance opportunities.
- Behind-the-Scenes Access: Observe the orchestra during rehearsals.
For violinists, the programme runs from January to December 2026.
How to Apply
To be eligible, you must show a clear interest in an orchestral career and have some prior experience working in an orchestral setting.
The selection panel will evaluate your application based on:
- Your artistic achievements and current impact in your studies or work.
- How the Fellowship would help you develop as a prospective orchestral musician.
- How the Philharmonia Orchestra and its mentors can help you achieve your goals.
