Introduction
Violinist Agata Miklavc was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia where she began studying violin at the age of 3. Her career took her from Ljubljana to Sarajevo and later to United states where she studied with former concertmeister of Boston and Dallas symphony orchestra; Emanuel Borok until she moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where she now studies with Andres Cardenes at the Carnegie Mellon University.
An inspired chamber musician, Agata has performed with world renown artists such as the Escher quartet, Aaron Boyd, Violeta Smailovic-Huart, Andres Diaz, Andres Cardenes, Paul Coletti and Wendy Chan to name a few.
An esteemed competitor, she won numerous prizes at national and international competitions around the globe, including the recent 3rd prize at the Glazunov competition in Paris.
