Introduction

Alyssa Lahoda is a violinist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A Reading native, she graduated from Lebanon Valley College with degrees in Violin Performance, Music Theory, and Music Business, as well as earning Departmental Honors for her research on Music Performance Anxiety & Musician Wellness. She also initiated and helped establish the ‘Musician Wellness’ course and concentration at LVC.

Alyssa maintains an active performance schedule, serving as Concertmaster of the Providence Chamber Orchestra, Principal Violin II of Berks Sinfonietta, Assistant Principal Principal Violin II of Bucks County Symphony Orchestra, and performing with ensembles including Helena Symphony Orchestra, Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra, Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, and Midatlantic Symphony Orchestra. She also plays with numerous pit orchestras such as Wilmington Ballet, Fulton Theatre, and Penn Square Opera, and toured across the U.S. and Canada with The World of Hans Zimmer.

In addition to her performance career, Alyssa, maintains a private studio teaching violin and viola in the Philadelphia area.
