Introduction
Violinist Amos Fayette began his musical studies at the age of 2, made his solo debut at age 8, and since then has enjoyed a diverse career of performing, teaching, and non-profit leadership. In demand as a soloist and clinician, his solo engagements have included appearances with the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra, The Mid-Atlantic Symphony, New World Symphony Orchestra, and the Orquesta Filarmonica de Medellin. Equally at home as an orchestral musician, he has been engaged as guest concertmaster of Orchestra Iowa, Annapolis Symphony, and the Illinois Symphony while holding posts with the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra and the Mid-Atlantic Symphony.
A dedicated and passionate educator, Amos’ teaching experiences include everything from collegiate-level teaching at the New World School of the Arts and Cecil College to public school consulting for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Capital School District of Dover, DE, and finally appointments to the faculty of the Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College and The Music School of Delaware, among others.
Amos performs exclusively on a violin made by Edward Maday in 2012. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the culinary landscape of Cleveland, OH.
