Introduction
Always looking for new ways to present music, Andrew Cody Williams is a bassist, teacher, composer, and author seeking to connect and inspire music lovers both casual and professional. Convincing other people, even musicians that the double bass is a solo instrument is a challenge gladly taken.
Andrew currently works with multiple orchestras in the North Texas area including the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra. He has a tradition of performing one of his own compositions in each of his recitals and is currently writing a soundtrack and novel about the trials of a fictional kingdom throughout time. He has also been a twice recognized honorable mention in the University of North Texas Music Entrepreneurship Competition and a finalist in the Texas Christian University International Double Bass Orchestral Excerpts Competition.
Andrew Williams is a graduate of the South Carolina Governors School for the Arts and Humanities and has completed his undergraduate degree in music performance at the University of North Texas under the study of Jeff Bradetich. He is now continuing at UNT for his Masters of Music and serves as a Teaching Fellow. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing video games with his brother while the two do impressions of TV characters.
