Introduction
A Virginia native, clarinetist Caitlin Beare is currently a DMA candidate at the University of Washington in Seattle. She recently completed the Advanced Performance Studies program at the Bard College Conservatory of Music, where she studied with David Krakauer, Pascual Martínez Forteza, Laura Flax, and Anthony McGill. Caitlin received her Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music, and her Bachelor of Music degree summa cum laude from Shenandoah Conservatory.
Caitlin has held fellowship positions at the Talis Festival & Academy in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Atlantic Music Festival. A curious and committed educator, Caitlin has taught in the Music Program at Bard College, and has maintained private studios in the NYC and DC areas.
