Introduction
Cameron Roberts is an avid freelance oboist and educator in the Los Angeles area. Before moving to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami under the teaching of Robert Weiner. While in South Florida, he has performed with several orchestral groups such as the Gulf Coast Symphony and South Florida Wind Symphony. Originally from the Houston area, he also studied with Dr. Anne Leek of the Houston Symphony before moving to Los Angeles. Since moving to Los Angeles, Cameron Roberts has performed with groups such as the American Youth Symphony, recorded the sound track to SOMM TV’s “The Whole Animal” and participated in other studio sessions for demo sessions and small films while also being a music educator to the community around him. He currently studies with Dr. Joel Timm and Marion Kuszyk of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. As of recently, he is a chaired musician with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra and plays with other groups in the Los Angeles area.
