Introduction

David Lobera was born in Huesca, Spain, where he started his music training with Paco García
and Juan Luis Royo. He continued his studies his Bachelor’s degree with Emili Ferrando and Ona Cardona in Mallorca,
receiving the Extraordinary Prize of the End of the Studies in the speciality of clarinet and graduated with honors in
Contemporary Chamber Music
Afterwards he obtained his Master’s degree under the guidance of Eddy Vanoosthuyse, principal clarinetist of the
Brussels Philharmonic

During his studies he attended classes and masterclasses with several recognized clarinetists and bass clarinetists, such
as Oskar Espina, Radovan Cavallin, Justo Sanz, José Luis Estellés, Carlos García, Enric Lluna, Alain Damiens, Yehuda
Gilad, Miguel Vicente Espejo, Jan Guns and Benjamin Dieltjens

In 2008, he won the Ibercaja scholarship “Beca para continuación de estudios para músicos” in Huesca

Being part of the contemporary ensemble Drama!, focused on the search of new ways between music, word and movement,
he participated in the contemporary music festival Mixtur in Barcelona in 2014 and the Mostra Sonora of Sueca 2015. He
took part in festivals like the Aurora Chamber Music Festival 2014 with Yehuda Gilad, or the Impuls 2015. He has
played in Música en el Casino and in EnClaves both chamber music festivals in Huesca during the 2015
