Introduction
A native of New York, Derek Hensler has been fortunate to perform solo, chamber and orchestrally across the world including Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada and the United States. An advocate of the Tuttle method, Derek has studied with some of today’s best viola pedagogues while receiving a double bachelors in viola performance and music education at Ithaca College, a masters at McGill University in Montreal and currently teaching at the University of Northern Colorado while completing his doctorate.
