Introduction
My wife and I have devoted our lives to performing as soloists, and chamber and orchestral musicians in the NY area and throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. While pursuing our careers as performers, we have also been deeply involved in educating the next generation of string players and woodwinds. Since the mid 90’s, when we were privileged to found the Utah Music Festival & School, we administered, performed, and taught in an 8-week music camp for students 8 years of age through college in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Our format has included the student / teacher mentor relationship of the Marlboro Music Festival, including private lessons, masterclasses, chamber music and Orpheus-like orchestral performances.
When not practicing, rehearsing, or performing, the students and faculty are treated to some of the most spectacular scenery and recreational opportunities available anywhere in the U.S. They have also enjoyed building life-long musical and personal relationships with each other throughout the 8-week summer season.
With the generous help and guidance from soloists, chamber musicians, major symphony players, and leading conservatory faculty from around the nation, the festival and school has been instrumental in launching many students into higher levels of playing, new educational opportunities, and career advancement.
My most influential teachers were Bernard Greenhouse, Leonard Rose, Ron Leonard, William Stokking, Bob Gardner, and Warren Lash. I have also had the privilege of studying chamber music with members of the Guarneri and Manhattan String Quartets. A few of the schools at which I’ve taught include Sarah Lawrence College (Bronxville, NY), SUNY Albany, and a variety of Private and Public Schools in New York, Utah, and Arizona. My Teaching Assistantship appointments have been at SUNY Stony Brook, Rutgers, University of Houston, Notre Dame, and University of Texas at Austin.
I would greatly appreciate your consideration of my CV materials and Youtube / Soundcloud recordings. Please keep in mind, these are largely chamber music samples of my playing recorded with less than professional equipment. I am also including my wife’s materials should a position for flute open up.
Thanks so much for your kind consideration!
Best regards,
