Introduction
Erika holds a Bachelor of Music from The Hartt School, where she double majored in Flute Performance and Music Management and was a student of Janet Arms. While at school, she was an active participant in ensembles such as Foot in the Door, the Hartt Orchestra, and Collegium, Hartt’s baroque ensemble. Erika was also a member of Performance 20/20, Hartt’s intensive chamber music program; her involvement in chamber music has included duos with percussion and guitar, trios, flute quartets, and the Performance 20/20 Woodwind Quintet.
This past year, she was selected as a finalist in the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra’s Instrumental Concerto Competition; last year, she was selected as a finalist in Hartt’s annual Paranov Concerto Competition.
She has performed in masterclasses for many accomplished soloists and orchestral musicians, including Stefán Höskuldsson, Cynthia Meyers, and Emmanuel Pahud. A native of Massachusetts, Erika enjoys baking and running in her spare time.
