Introduction

Esther is a professional flutist and flute teacher based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She received her formal musical training at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (B.M. 2009), the Sydney Conservatorium in Australia, and the University of Oregon (M.M. 2012).  Her principal teachers were Michel Debost, Molly Barth, and Alexa Still.

Esther plays flute and piccolo with several symphony orchestras throughout New Mexico and Texas, and in 2019 joined the Austin Symphony Orchestra.  She is a tenured member of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, and also appears regularly with the Santa Fe Symphony as well as the New Mexico Philharmonic, Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra, and formerly with the Eugene Symphony in Oregon.
