Introduction
Hyerin Kim is a Korean flutist who has over 10 years of experience. She graduated from Yewon Art School in Korea and Temple University in Philadelphia where she obtained a Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music degree in Flute Performance. Her principal teachers have included Principle Flutist Jeffrey Khaner and former second Flutist Loren Lind of Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as founder of Dolce Suono Ensemble, Mimi Stillman.
Additionally, she has extensive experience performing in a variety of professional ensembles and solo performances. These include partaking in the Temple University Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, New School Woodwind Quintet, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Guri Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kimmel Center, Lincoln Center and other popular venues as a soloist and ensemble musician.
Hyerin has been the recipient of various awards including being the first place winner of the Yamaha Young Performing Artist award, Eastern European Orchestra Competition, The Music Competition, and Eumag Chunchu Competition. She was also the best solo recipient of World Strides Heritage Performance Maestro Award NY and many others.
