Introduction
Hello! My name is Jessica Chancey and I’m a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music with a bachelor of music degree in flute performance studying with Mary Kay Fink.
Since attending CIM, I have continued to play in orchestras throughout Ohio including 2nd Flute and Piccolo in the Canton Symphony Orchestra for about 2 years and subbing in orchestras such as The Cleveland Orchestra, Akron Symphony, The Cleveland Philharmonic, and Firelands Symphony Orchestra.
My artistic passion doesn’t simply stand alone with orchestral performance but with chamber music as well by being a founding member of Avery Fisher nominated woodwind quintet, Catharsis Winds. Catharsis won the bronze medal at the 2019 Fischoff Competition and silver at the International Manhattan Music Competition. We are also artists in residence at Interlochen Center for the Arts and the International Music Project in Pesaro, Italy.
