Introduction
Composer and Trumpet Artist John-Thomas Burson pursues his lifelong passion of inspiring others through both solo performances and as an ensemble musician. Born and raised in Acworth, Georgia, Burson currently serves as a Composer’s Assistant at Mystery Ship Music in San Gabriel, California, working with film composer Tim Jones. As an orchestral trumpeter John-Thomas has performed with the Aspen Music Festival, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, and the Georgia Symphony, the last of which includes a live show with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. Television appearances include numerous segments on CBS’s “Late Late Show” with Sunset Blvd Brass of Los Angeles. As a composer, Burson was recently selected as a finalist in the Abbey Road Film Scoring Competition. Original compositions by John-Thomas Burson are available on all major platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube Music. His recent single, “Heartbeat,” features his brother, fallen Holly Springs Police Officer Joe Burson, on drums.
