Introduction
I am passionate about teaching, with fifteen years of experience in various contexts (universities, conservatories, private lessons, masterclasses) and I have taught saxophone, clarinet, jazz ensembles and theory classes. In my thesis I explored the tensions between preparation and spontaneity in improvisation and this has allowed me to deepen my pedagogic expertise and develop an original approach to teaching.
I am also active as a performing musician, having recorded several albums as a leader and sideman (labels include SteepleChase and Cristal records) and toured in several regions of the world (collaborators include Jean-Michel Pilc, Nelson Veras, Peter Peter and Ibeyi).
