Introduction
Joseph Visseaux holds a Bachelor Degree from the “Haute École des Arts du Rhin” of Strasbourg, France, under the tutelage of Emmanuel Séjourné and this is in Montreal that he had the opportunity to develop a more personal relationship with percussions.
Winner of several Bursury Funds such as “Wilrose Desrosers et Dunn”, “Luc Vinet” or “Alma Mater”, Joseph recently graduated from a Masters in Percussion Performance summa cum laude with Julien Grégoire at the Music Faculty of the University of Montreal, Canada.
As well as that, Joseph starts to be known in the Quebec musical panorama and perform with some important ensemble like “Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec”, “l’Orchestre 21”, “l’Orchestre de la Francophonie” (with which he gets on a tour for the 2018 summer). For two years, Joseph participates at the Percussiv Art Society (Montreal, Quebec) and he was finalist at he concerto competition of the “Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal” in april 2018. He will finally makes his debut as soloist in september 2018 with the “Orchestre Philharmonique des Musiciens de Montréal” playing Nathan Daughtrey’s Vibraphone concerto.
Chamber music is also important for Joseph. In that way, he began a duo project nammed Hélios Percussion with the percussionist Huizi Wang. Their goal is to link different types of arts arround the idea of the musical gesture.

Thanks to my success at the Concerto’s Competition of this Orchestra, I was selected to play the vibraphone concerto from Nathan Daughtrey with a Wind/Percussion Ensemble.
