Introduction
Joseph Dvorak is a Philadelphia-based clarinetist and educator. Most recently, Joseph played
basset horn in A Change of Harp’s presentation of Stockhausen’s Klang, both in a trio and as a soloist. In
A Change of Harp’s 10 Synchronisms, he performed as a soloist in Davidovsky’s Synchronism no. 12. He
has also appeared regularly with Arcana New Music Ensemble. Joseph teaches with Tune Up Philly, an El
Sistema-inspired division of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and at the Nelly Berman School. Joseph
holds degrees in clarinet from UW-Milwaukee and Temple University. He has studied with Ricardo
Morales, Todd Levy, and Paul Demers.
