Introduction
Hi there.
My name is Joy, I am the principal Clarinet player of the Stara Zagora Opera Company, located in Bulgaria.
I have been working there since September 2018, and prior to that I was 2nd and Bass Clarinet of the Ruse Opera Company, Bulgaria.
Before working in Bulgaria, I was freelancing in the UK, in both London and Brighton. I have worked with ensembles such as the English National Opera and the Brighton Philharmonic.
As well as a keen performer I am also very enthusiastic about teaching. I have taught in schools and at home both in groups and on a one to one basis. Teaching is a hugely rewarding and enjoyable aspect of my career as a musician, and I hope to inspire as many of my pupils as possible to realise the joy of making music!
