Introduction
Hello! My name is Julian Maddox, and I am currently playing in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as a member of the second violin section for the 2021-2022 season. I have also recently played as a substitute violinist with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and the New World Symphony. I’m originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I recently received my Masters Degree in violin performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Jaime Laredo, and Jan Sloman. While in Cleveland, I held a contract position with the Canton Symphony, and I also played with other local groups such as the Akron Symphony, the Firelands Symphony, and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra to name a few. I am also affiliated with the Sphinx Organization via NAAS programming. Thanks for visiting my page!

Wonderful Violin Soloist
My wife and I heard Mr. Maddox perform as a soloist with the Columbia Orchestra on Saturday, Nov. 2. He was a delightful performer, demonstrating wonderful musicianship and great passion for the piece he was playing. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to him and watching him engage both with the music and the members of the orchestra. Would love to hear him again.
