Introduction
Hello! My name is Julian Maddox, and I am a professional violinist based in the Twin Cities area. I currently serve as the Concertmaster of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra, and I previously played in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as a member of the second violin section from 2021-2024. I regularly play with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and have also played with the New World Symphony. I received my Masters Degree in violin performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Jaime Laredo, and Jan Sloman; and my Bachelors Degree in violin performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of William Preucil and Kathleen Winkler. While in Cleveland, I held a contract position with the Canton Symphony for 6 years, and I also played with other local groups such as the Akron Symphony, the Firelands Symphony, and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra to name a few. I am also affiliated with the Sphinx Organization via NAAS programming. Thanks for visiting my page!

Wonderful Violin Soloist
My wife and I heard Mr. Maddox perform as a soloist with the Columbia Orchestra on Saturday, Nov. 2. He was a delightful performer, demonstrating wonderful musicianship and great passion for the piece he was playing. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to him and watching him engage both with the music and the members of the orchestra. Would love to hear him again.
