Introduction

A passionate, colorful, versatile musician and Georgia native, Kellie Henry is an active flutist, teacher, collaborator, adjudicator, and clinician currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at The Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. She previously attended Valdosta State University and The University of Tennessee – Knoxville. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Valdosta State University and studied privately for 6 years prior to collegiate studies. Her primary teachers include Anna Thibeault, Elizabeth Goode, and Andrée Martin.

Kellie leads an exciting performance career as a student and professional. This includes experiences in orchestras, wind ensembles, musical theater pits, and a myriad of chamber ensembles. She currently holds orchestral positions with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra (NC) and Albany Symphony Orchestra (GA) and has performed with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra (GA), Johnson City Symphony Orchestra (TN), and Symphony of the Mountains (TN). She was a winner of the National Flute Association Collegiate Flute Choir Competition (2015) the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition (2015).

Kellie is the founder and flute instructor of the Henry Flute Studio currently located in Columbus, GA. She is also experienced with teaching flute lessons online and currently accepting new students!
