Introduction
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Kyndra Sisayaket currently resides in East Lansing, MI, pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Brass Performance at Michigan State University. She has performed with the Washington-Idaho Symphony, Mid-Columbia Symphony, Jackson (MI) Symphony Orchestra, Stow Symphony Orchestra, and Solon Philharmonic. Along with performing in regional orchestras, she has pursued summer opportunities at the Kendall Betts Horn Camp, Marrowstone Music Festival, Pacific Regional International Summer Music Academy, and Kent/Blossom Music Festival, working with world renowned hornists. As a chamber musician, she has competed at Musicfest Northwest, taking a gold award with the Ethos Wind Quintet. The Ethos Wind Quintet performed Taffanel’s Wind Quintet in G minor, which was heard on Spokane’s live public radio KPBX. Kyndra’s degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Washington State University and a Master of Music in Brass Performance at The University of Akron. Her teachers include Matthew Aubin, Margaret Tung, and Corbin Wagner. During her free time, Kyndra enjoys playing video games, drawing, and doing yoga.
