Trombone

Introduction

Leor Arbel is an NYC-based tenor trombonist who also doubles on bass trombone and euphonium. He is a current student of Per Brevig at the Manhattan School of Music and is set to graduate with a BM in 2026. He has played with the Houston Youth Symphony, Grammy Award-Winning New York Youth Symphony, Protestra Orchestra, NYU Broadway Orchestra, and various ensembles at MSM. Leor was named a substitute musician for Symphony in C for their 2023-2024 season. On top of that, he has had the opportunity to be a part of a couple small off-broadway musical productions this past year. Leor has had the pleasure of working with leading trombonists of the world such as Per Brevig, Colin Williams, George Curran, Sasha Romero, Demian Austin, Yu Tamaki Hoso, Megumi Kanda, and Jim Nova. During this past summer, Leor has been fortunate to be on faculty at the 2023 Texas Low Brass Academy as well as a trombone counselor at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts. Also this past summer, Leor was a finalist in the excerpt competition at the 2023 Southeast Trombone Symposium and a participant at the 2023 Gene Pokorny Low brass seminar.
