Introduction

Megan Rayl is a classically trained cellist based in New York City, NY.  Megan obtained her Bachelor’s of Music in Cello Performance from Fort Hays State University where she studied under Mr. Ben Cline.  Megan’s performance resume includes symphonic masterworks as well as appearances with the Piano Guys, the Scottish Fiddle Club of Colorado, and 2Cellos.  Megan has vast experience accompanying vocalists and has played in the pit orchestra for numerous musical theatre productions across the United States.  What makes Megan stand apart from other cellists is her ability to improvise when needed and go with the flow.  Megan attributes this skill to her time playing electric cello.  Megan has appeared with many local metal and rock bands and she hopes to continue to grow her presence as an electric cellist.  For Megan, there is no line drawn by genre.
