Introduction
Nadia Sparrow is a professional flutist, music teacher and flute clinician. She has over 23 years of performing experience and 16 years of experience in teaching flute to children and adults of all ages.
Ms. Sparrow holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance, Solo from McGill University and a Bachelor of Music Performance in Flute from the University of Calgary. She is the current Vice President of the Quebec Band Association where she is involved in promoting concert band programs in Quebec.
Ms. Sparrow showed exceptional promise from a young age, quickly becoming a consistent first place winner in music competitions across Canada. In 2003 Ms. Sparrow was awarded the prestigious Kiwanis Music Festival Rose Bowl and Rose Bowl Scholarship as well as the Austrian Canadian Mozart Society Scholarship. She has studied at Worcester College in Oxford, England with the highly acclaimed flutist and teacher, Peter Lloyd and attended the Banff Summer Masterclasses with Patrick Gallois. Ms. Sparrow currently holds the post of Artist in Residence at Lower Canada College where she is the woodwind specialist for the middle and senior school music programs and continues to perform professionally with various ensembles in Quebec.
