Introduction
Renae Block received a BS in Music Education from West Chester University, PA, and has been a teacher and performer for over 30 years. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in flute performance at the University of Delaware, studying with Eileen Grycky. Previous teachers include Lois Herbine, Emily Newbold and Phyllis Lippincott Dalton. She has also been fortunate to participate in master classes with Julius Baker, Alexa Still, Gary Schocker, Mary Karen Clardy, Erica Peel, Brook Ferguson and Patricia Surmon, and has had additional flute coaching sessions with Ronna Ayscue, Cindy Anne Broz and Eve Friedman. Renae is the owner/director of The Evesham Flute Studio in NJ, and the immediate past-president of The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia.
