Introduction
Hello! I’m Rodrigo, a passionate percussionist and educator with a musical journey that began at the age of 15 in the Professional Course of Wind and Percussion Instrumentalist in Tomar, guided by the talented Hugo Ribeiro and Pedro Fonseca. Currently, I teach percussion and drums at various official and non-official educational institutions.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music under the mentorship of Professor Marco Fernandes and I’m finishing my Master’s degree in Music Education with Dr. Eduardo Lopes at the University of Évora.
My musical repertoire is diverse; I regularly collaborate with wind bands, orchestras, and chamber music ensembles, and I am also an active jazz musician. Recently, I had the privilege of recording the second album with Joaquim Roberto and Máquina do Tempo. I frequently perform with the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra and Foco Musical Portugal and Brazil, having had the incredible opportunity to tour and perform in Brazil.
