Introduction
Sarah graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with MA in 2021. She studied flute with Sam Coles, baroque flute with Lisa Besnosiuk and piccolo with Pat Morris. She previously graduated with first class honors from Trinity Laban, where she was taught by Anna Pope and Mikhail Kazakevich . Her awards include Third Prize in the Leopold Bellan International Competition (2023), the TCM Silver Medal for Wind Brass and Percussion (2020), the first prize in the Harold Clarke Competition (2018), the Berryl Maggs prize (2018), the runner-up prize of the TCM Soloist Competition (2019) and a Jonathan Myall Flute Prize (2019).
Sarah has performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Classical Orchestra, the Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra, the Horizon Orchestra and she plays regularly with the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra.
Alongside performing, Sarah is currently sharing her passion with flute students at the Ealing Music Service/Ealing Council, at the West London Free School Secondary& Sixth form and occasionally at the Junior Royal Academy of Music.
Sarah is very grateful for support from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, both during her studies at the Academy and in acquiring her beautiful gold Muramatsu flute.
