Introduction
My name is Shahnnon Hawkins, and I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a bachelors in Music Education. I currently teach in Sturgeon Bay, WI and perform freelance. My performance experience includes four years as principal oboist in UW-Whitewater’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra. I also performed with Holton-Elkhorn Band (Elkhorn, WI) for seven seasons. With the university ensembles, I have performed at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall (Chicago) and several venues in Austria and the Czech Republic.

Quintet Member
Shahnnon played with our WW Quintet in Sturgeon Bay for a couple years. She was one of the strongest players in the group, and displayed marvelous technique and musicality in her playing. She was masterful in putting proper emotion into the music and making the listener hear it. Her involvement terminated when she moved, which was quite unfortunate for us.
