Piano

Introduction

I am graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, BMus (Hons) Performance, first class.

I took part in various concerts in London, Kent and Hertfordshire:  Beethoven Concert in Holy Trinity Cliftonville, Chillenden Charity Festival, the Arts Club Mayfair, Benslow Music Trust  in Hitchin, Wigmore Hall, Steinway Hall as well as many others. I participated in the Scarlatti Marathon in Manchester (Royal Northern College of Music) and was invited to perform new compositions at the piano teacher’s conference in Liverpool.
Since the age of eleven I took part in the Deal Festival Young Performers Platform every summer and played solo piano and organ recital after gaining a Deal Festival Award.
On winning the Piano Competition at St Edmund’s Studio I was invited to perform  with the Folkestone & Hythe Orchestral Society (conductor Graham Harvey). I was also invited by acclaimed pianist and composer John McCabe to take part in the Young Performer Concert at The Sittingbourne Music Society.

I have participated in Master Classes with Arthur Pizarro, John McCabe, Dmitri Alexeev, Christopher Elton, Pascal Devoyon, Stephen Hough, Freddy Kempf, Pavel Nersessian and Aquiles Delle Vigne.

I play wide classical repertoire including some great music compositions that are rarely performed, e.g. Variations on a theme by Rode by Carl Czerny or Spanish Caprice by Moritz Moszkowski.
I believe that it is important to understand the context and environment of the music at the time it was created, and conduct this understanding to the audience. So my approach to music of different periods such as baroque, classicism, romanticism or modernism would be entirely different.
I am also interested in developing piano technique and have invented a few advanced ways of practice. There are a few particular virtuoso pieces in my repertoire such as Scherzo by Prokofiev, Mephisto Waltz and Rhapsodie espagnole by Liszt and Poissons d’or by Debussy.
I worked with various ensembles including piano trio, piano quintet, violin and piano duo and voice and piano duo. I was invited, together with other members of Kingfishers trio, by Christine Talbot-Cooper, the founder of Piano Trio Society, to perform at St. John’s Church, Notting Hill, and Wigmore Hall.
I played piano (orchestra part) for the opera production, Ravel, L’enfant et les sortilèges, and the project “Gothic experiment” (scenes from Der Vampyr by Märschner, Robert Le Diable by Meyerbeer, La Nonne sanglante by Gounod and Sancta Susanna by Hindemith) performed by the students of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
