Introduction
Valentina Lučković was born in 2001. in city of Niš (Serbia). She started to play the cello at the age of 10, working with prefessor Ljubiša Radisavljević. As an elementary music school student, she won over 10 first and second prices in National and International competitions. Two years in a row, she was the winner of the Vidovdan award, which is awarded by the city of Niš to the best students. In 2017, she was playing as a soloist with Niš Symphony Orchestra, and that was the concert that changed her life. Professors from the audience later that year suggested her to go to „Strings“ music summer camp, to be heard by the other eminent professors, which happened. Professor Dragan Đorđević invited her to become a student of the „School for Musically Gifted Children“ in Ćuprija, where he was artistic director at that time. In September 2017, she moved to Ćuprija and started working with prof. Nevena Busarac. As a soloist or chamber/orchestra member, she performed in all the most important concert halls in Serbia and abroad. She played at the „Boljšoj festival“ (which is organized by Emir Kusturica), alongside with Denis Matsuev and Julian Rachlin, Arlemm Festival in Arilje, Ravanelius festival in Ćuprija… In October 2018, Valentina was chosen to be one of the three students that will go on seven-day China tour. This trio had two very successful concerts, held in the Shangai and Nan Jing. In June 2019. Valentina performed „Rococo variations“ for cello (Tchaikovsky), as a soloist with orchestra at the gala concert in Italy, where she received standing ovations from the audience. In 2019, Valentina was the Principal cello of the „School for musically gifthed children chamber orchestra“ for the whole year, and some of the most significant works could be found in the repertoire that year: B. Britten „Simple Symphony“, Corelli Concerto Grosso no.2 F-major, A. Vivaldi: Concerto for two cellos g-minor, Tchaikovsky „Rococo Variations“, F. Mendelsohn String Symphony no. 2 and so on. In May this year, she was a member of chamber orchestra of „Fondation Dobar Glas“, which performed with world’s famous violinist Nemanja Radulović. After that cocnert, „Fondation Dobar Glas“ invited her to play at the openning of their humanitarian exhibition . As one of the three best candidates, Valentina won schoolarship from Acadamy in France to participate in „Bastille day project“. The chamber orchestra, formed specially for this occasion, held two concerts in Lyon and Tricastin between 12-17. July this year. On December 26th, Valentina held solo recital at the „Guarnerius“ hall. Since January 2023. Valentina is official member of „Camerata Balcanica“ chamber orchestra, within the „ArtLink Belgrade“ association. As a member of this orchestra, she performed at the concerts in Montenegro, Albania and Croatia. She worked with many eminent proffesors such as Stefan Popov (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London), Denis Shapovalov (Russia), Atila Pasztor (Austria), Damjan Saramandić (Serbia-Germany), Aleksei Kiseliov , Dejan Božić (FMU Belgrade), Razvan Suma (Academy in Bucharest). At the moment, Valentina is in the 3rd year of her Bachelor’s degree at Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Dragan Đorđević
